In some cases, YES! You will be responsible for paying for each session in full at time of appointment, and I will provide you with a 'superbill' each month that you can submit to insurance for reimbursement. If using the 'payment platform' option with Thrizer.com, you will only have to pay you co-insurance cost. Ask for more details.

Disclaimer: Your insurance company can legally request your therapy records if using OON benefits!! (Including your working diagnosis, treatment plan, and progress notes.)

Most insurance companies have you upload your monthly 'superbill' through an online portal and then mail you a check. You can also use a service like Thrizer.com to handle the OON process for you. *Super important though...check your coverage! Review your plan's documentation or if it sounds like gibberish, contact your provider directly to understand specifics. You'll want to ask about coverage for 'outpatient telehealth mental health sessions' (CPT Code: 90834), deductibles, do you need a referral, how to submit claims, etc.

OON benefits typically have different coverage levels than in-network benefits, so reimbursement could be anywhere between 20-70% of the cost of each session. Contact Thrizer.com to get an individualized estimate of what your costs will be. 

I reserve a limited number of sliding scale spots in my schedule. Most are allocated for returning clients who have worked with me in another setting, but please don’t hesitate to reach out! If I’m unable to offer you a sliding scale spot, I’d be happy to provide some great referrals. Another great resource for finding therapists, especially in-network providers, is www.psychologytoday.com or by contacting your insurance provider.

In a nutshell, the intake session is all about gathering initial information (I want to understand Your unique journey!), establishing therapeutic goals, and setting the foundation for ongoing therapy. We'll also go over ALL the paperwork and discuss housekeeping items so you feel INFORMED and ready to begin.

Ongoing therapy is where the real work begins; we'll delve deeper into your concerns, explore your thoughts and feelings, and work toward your goals. Ongoing therapy sessions are less directive and more focused on gaining new perspectives, challenging unhelpful thinking/behavioral patterns, and developing new coping strategies, so you can get UNSTUCK and find your Zen again! 




I typically schedule weekly sessions with the majority of my clients. I ask that all new clients commit to meeting weekly for at least the first 6-8 weeks. It's all about starting strong, so you can see positive changes right away! Based on your progress and needs, I may recommend that we increase or decrease the frequency of sessions. The goal is to find a plan that works best for You!

Many of my clients discover that they achieve their main goals within 4-6 months and no longer need the same level of support. On the other hand, some clients decide to continue therapy for much longer. They understand the benefits of ongoing therapy and place great value on having a dedicated, safe space to discuss their thoughts and feelings each week.
